Why do we need an IP address anyway? An IP address will make sure that you will stay connected to the internet. When you connect online, you are not directly connected to the internet. Rather, you will first connect to the network that is connected to the internet before you can start accessing the files that are available online.

The IP address will also make sure that your computer will follow the standard rules and regulations when you go online. Your IP address will also serve as the electronic return address for all of the things that you can find online.
