Having a good diet while building muscle is important. The key ingredient that the muscles need is protein. Also, people should eat less unhealthy foods while trying to build muscle. Eating unhealthy foods like desserts and chips may cause the muscles not to bulk up. Protein is needed for muscle growth. A plant-based diet can build muscles as long as the person is selecting the fruits and vegetables that are high in protein.

Some of these vegetables include lima beans, sprouts, peas, spinach, corn and broccoli. Beans are also known for carrying high amounts of protein. When a person wants to workout and build their muscle, they will also need to make sure that they are eating plenty of healthy foods that are high in protein.
