There are some people who become confused with the difference of the monocot and dicot. The maize is known to be a monocot. This is known to be a type of plant that usually flowers. Take note that monocots can be very diverse. There are so many that you can find in various parts of the world.

It may be helpful to know what type of plant or crop a maize is. This is known to be a type of cereal grain that may be similar to rice, rye, and barley. There are still other types of monocots that can be found right now. Take note that the monocot only has one seed that is found inside the seed coat. The leaf may be thin in the beginning.
