To determine the volume of the metal bar, subtract the initial volume of water from the final volume of water.
Volume of metal bar = Final volume – initial volume
= 86 – 80

Therefore, the volume of the metal bar is 6ml

To calculate the density of the metal bar, remember that density is mass per unit volume. The mass of the metal bar divided by the volume of the metal bar is the formula to calculate density
Density = mass of metal bar/ volume of metal bar
= 48/6
Therefore, the density of the metal bar is 8.
