Poaching eggs may seem daunting, but it is fairly simple once you know how to do it. In order to make the perfect poached egg, you first have to make sure that your eggs are very fresh. If you bought your weeks a few weeks ago, make sure you get fresh eggs before you try to poach them. Grab a pan and simmer some water and then add a small bit of vinegar to it.

Crack eggs into small cups or ramekins and create a little whirlpool to help the egg and the yolk wrap around. Then you must slowly place the egg into the simmering water and let it cook for 3 minutes. Make sure that you gentle dab off the water on the egg so that you do not get eggy water on your meal.
