The correct answer to this question is 32. It is important for someone that works in a kitchen environment to know these type of measurements. This is because any type of incorrect measurement can ruin a recipe. One may see quart abbreviated with the letters qt.

It is an English unit and it is equal to a quarter gallon. There are three types of quarts. The English system has dry and liquid quarts. The British system has imperial quarts. Fluid ounces are used to measure liquids. There are two types, which are the British and the United States ounce system.

There are 32 US fluid ounces in a US liquid quart. However, making reference to the Imperial standard of units, one imperial quart will give us 40 imperial ounces of fluid. Also, from the inverse aspect, if you want to determine the number of quarts that makes up a US fluid ounce, it is just a matter of division.

That is, finding the inverse of 32, which will be one divided by 32. The result would end up being 0.03125. Therefore, 0.03125 quarts is equal to 1 fluid ounce. Knowing fully well now that 32 US fluid ounces are in 1 US liquid quart; whenever you want to find the number of ounces that make up any particular number of quarts, just multiply the value by 32.

For example, two multiply by 32 ounces will give us two liquid quarts. This, 64 US fluid ounces are there in 2 quarts.

Quarts to fluid ounces volume units conversion factors are listed below. To find out how many ounces in quarts, multiply by the conversion factor or use the converter if converting between US fluid measurements. 1 Quart [US] = 32 Fluid Ounces [US], 1 Quart [UK] = 40 Fluid Ounces [UK]. There are 32 fluid ounces in a quart, because from the largest to the smallest units between quart and fl. oz, there are 2 pints in a quart, 2 cups in a pint and 8 fl. ounces in a cup, that makes 2 * 2 * 8 = 32 fl. ounces in a quart.

For example, to calculate how many fluid ounces there are in a half (1/2) quart of water or milk, multiply the quart value by the conversion factor, (1/2) * 32 = 16 fl. ounces of water or milk in a half quart. For US quarts, there are 4 oz in 1/8 US quart, 8 oz in a quarter (1/4) US quart, 10.6 oz in 1/3 US quart, 21.3 oz in 2/3 US quart and 24 oz in 3/4 US quart. For UK quarts, there are 5 oz in 1/8 UK quart, 10 oz in a quarter (1/4) UK quart, 13.3 oz in 1/3 UK quart, 26.6 oz in 2/3 UK quart and 30 oz in 3/4 UK quart. Quart is a volume measurement unit in US customary and imperial systems.

There is one type of quart in imperial system and 2 types (liquid and dry) in United States customary system. It approximately equals to a liter (litre). The abbreviation is "qt". Ounce (fluid) is an imperial and US customary volume unit. Fluid ounces are volume units and should not be mistaken with ounces which is mass (weight) unit. The abbreviation is "fl oz".
