System- level security refers to the architecture, policy, and processes that ensure data and system security on individual computer systems. It facilitates the security of standalone and/or network computer systems/servers from events and processes that can exploit or violate its security or stature.

Many people have computers and other devices. In order to gain access to your own computer, you may have to put in a username and password. Often times, we make sure that our username and password are saved on our own computer so that we don’t have to keep remembering these things when we start up our computer which is very often.

We do the same with other devices unless we set up the device so that we don’t need to enter our password in when we start up the device. We really think that our devices are secure, but it would actually be rather simple to access a person’s computer. This is called machine level security and people could easily access it because our passwords are often words about ourselves.
