It's false.

When under stress, the body uses more essential nutrients than it normally would. Eating at regular times, with a balanced diet will allow your body to release a steady stream of energy throughout the day and will help your ability to deal with stress. When a person becomes overwhelmed with stress, a common reaction is a sudden urge to eat food. The foods craved are junk food that the body believes will bolster its resistance to stress. stress can also cause unhealthy eating habits such as skipping meals, increased caffeine intake, eating the wrong food types, and constantly picking at foods.
