In a science experiment, you have three flasks that are filled with different gases in them. If you have some form of nitrous oxide in them, they will have the same kinetic energy. However, there are different amounts of kinetic energy in gases.

Kinetic energy is the energy that most people think of when they think of power. It is the energy that occurs when it is in motion. Gas is free-flowing just like a liquid. This means that the molecules are moving about. Even though NO, NO2, and N2O are different gases, they all have the same amount of movement. NO2 is called nitrogen dioxide based on the number of molecules it has in it. N2o is nitrous oxide. NO is nitric oxide.
