Which component is incorrectly configured?

The network administrator for a small advertising company has chosen to use the 192.168.5.96/27 network for internal LAN addressing. As shown in the exhibit, a static IP address is assigned to the company web server. However, the web server cannot access the Internet. The administrator verifies that local workstations with IP addresses that are assigned by a DHCP server can access the Internet, and the web server is able to ping local workstations.

The subnet mask is a term used in computer usage especially when people are trying to connect to another system. This is because an IP address has to be used. The IP address stands for the Internet Protocol Address, and it is a set of numbers that is used as a label to a secure computer network.

If you want to have your computer send a message to another computer system, it would need that computer’s IP address. However, an IP address is divided into two things. It includes the network address. It also consists of the host address. Both lectures are needed. The subnet mask functions by separating these two addresses. Then they won’t get confused. A subnet mask can be incorrectly configured.
