The Oscar Awards will happen on March 4, 2018. It will be the 90th Oscar Award ceremony. They will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, an comedian well known for his show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. Despite the ceremony being so far away, there are already nominations on the radar. Many spectacular movies have come out in 2017, and so whittling down the nominations will be hard.
One of the strongest contenders so far is actually the smash-hit movie “Wonder Woman”. There has always been a Hollywood prejudice that a movie centered on a female superhero simply won’t bring in the kind of audiences that would be needed to recoup the budget. Boy, did the popularity of “Wonder Woman” prove them wrong. It’s the best performing movie in the theaters as of October 2017, and it blows every expectation of a female-directed movie about a female superhero out of the water.
