Antarctica is not an ocean. It is a continent; however, it is surrounded by the Southern Ocean, which is the youngest ocean on our planet. It is a frigid region that is covered in ice and snow, and it is also very windy and dry. Most of Antarctica is a barren polar region, and under the ice and snow is earth, not ocean.

It is 98 percent covered by ice caps, and it also has mountains, where the higher you go, the colder you become. It is an uninhabited continent with only a rotation of several different scientific research teams who come there. It is simply too cold to live in Antarctica.

This area contains the south earth pole, and it is situated in the Antarctic region of the southern hemisphere. There are no countries on this continent.

The correct answer to this question is Antarctica. Antarctica is Earth's southernmost continent; it contains the topographical South pole and is located in the Antarctic area of the Southern Hemisphere, primarily south of the Antarctic Circle, and is enclosed by the Southern Ocean. Its landmass is almost twice the size of Australia.

About 98% of Antarctica is shielded by ice that midpoints 1.9km (1.2mi; 6200 ft) in breadth, which extends to everything except the northernmost slopes of the Antarctic Peninsula. All things considered, the Antarctic is the windiest, coldest, and driest landmass, and has the greatest normal rise of all the continents.

The majority of Antarctic is a polar desert with yearly snow of 200mm along the coast and farther less inland. For almost 2 million years, there has been no rain, yet 80 % of the world freshwater holds are saved there, enough to increase worldwide ocean level by around 60 meters if every last bit of it were to dissolve.

When you hear of Arctic and Antarctic, these two are referring to the ocean. However, there is one with a similar name, which many usually mistake for them. This is Antarctica. Antarctica is not an Ocean. It is just a place that is surrounded by the ocean.

In fact, it is a continent. Antarctica is one of the continents in the world. There used to be a report that no organism survives in Antarctica. But that is a lie. There are some animals that are found in this region, such as penguins. As a matter of fact, some humans take a trip to this continent. Scientists are always present in Antarctica, doing researches and studies about the place.

The Antarctica continent, however, does not have any native human that has a claim on the place. Antarctica is a very cold region, full of ice and snow. The Arctic is an ocean, but it is surrounded by land.

Antarctica is not an ocean whereas Arctic and Antarctic are both oceans.

- Antarctica is usually described as the southernmost continent of the planet Earth. The place covers the South pole. Another piece of information you need to know about Antarctica is that it is situated south of the Southern ocean. Since it is a land surrounded by oceans, it covers the total area of 14,200,000 km2. The place is uninhabited, however, that does not mean people don't travel to Antarctica. As a matter of fact, the population of people in Antarctica yearly usually grows up to 5000 depending on season.

- Arctic Ocean is usually described as the smallest ocean when comparing its size with other four oceans of the Earth. It is located around the North pole.

- Arctantic ocean is located at the South pole and covers the southernmost waters of the ocean of the world. It is usually called the southern ocean or Austral ocean.

Antarctica is the southernmost earth continent; it contains the south earth pole, and it is situated in the Antarctic region of the southern hemisphere. Antarctica, on average, is the coldest, windiest, driest continent and has the highest average elevation of all continents. It is also recorded as the last region on the earth, and it was recorded unseen until 1820.

The Antarctic is a poplar religion around the south pole opposite the arctic religion around the north pole, it comprises of the continent of Antarctica, Kerguelen plateau, and other islands .it also have the coldest temperature on earth because it does not get direct sunlight, which causes most of it to be covered by ice and snow leaving less than one percent of land exposed.

Out of all the names listed, Antarctica is not the name of an ocean. While it is not an ocean, Antarctica is a continent. It is the continent that is further South, and there is little life that lives there. This is because it is mainly covered in ice.

Due to the inability for humans to live their due to the cold weather, there are no countries on this continent. The rest of the answers are oceans, which are Artic and Antarctic. Many may not be familiar with the Antarctic, but it is an ocean. It is most commonly known as the Pacific Ocean.
