Before you can kill a bed bug, you would need to identify the extent of infestation first. This step is crucial because if you don’t know the extent of infestation, you will not be able to completely exterminate these pests. Once you identified the areas infested, you would need to keep the infestation from continuously spreading. You can do this by removing the things from the area and sealing these things in a plastic bag. Just because your furniture gets infested does not necessarily mean that you have to throw those.
If it can still be salvaged, just place it in a safe place and don’t let anybody use it until you have completely exterminated the bed bugs. Once done, you can kill bed bugs by using pesticides, drying agents, or any non-chemical methods such as heat treatment and cold treatment.
