The term normal blood pressure may vary slightly for different doctors and different patients. Some patients may have a reason to have a higher or lower blood pressure level. So, their normal blood pressure may be different than from the average person. However, according to most doctors, they want their patients’ blood pressure to have a top number or systolic number between 90 and 120.

The diastolic number or bottom number should be between 60 and 80. Any numbers lower than those would be considered to be low blood pressure. High blood pressure would be higher than 120 for the systolic number and higher than 80 in the diastolic number. When someone has high blood pressure or low blood pressure, that affects the person’s heart.
