“Franny and Zooey” was written by J.D. Salinger. This book is actually a short story and a novella combined for publication. The first part is his short story “Franny”, which was about a young woman named Franny who went on a date with a man named Lane. He wasn’t too concerned about being with her, but instead was more concerned about getting to the party and the football game on time. Even after she faints, that’s all he cares about.

The novella “Zooey” is about a man named Zooey who reads a letter from his brother. In the bathtub. There was something in the letter that made him upset, but he didn’t act. Instead, he gets into a verbal sparring match with his mother about his sister Franny.
