While sports photography might be the answer you were thinking of, that’s the wrong answers. This is actually “match moving” or “motion tracking” photography. This is usually used to create live action movies with CGI in appropriate scales, places, etc. in Hollywood. However, this can be done with special software; no special camera or lens is needed for this kind of photography. All you need to do is be careful in how you shoot the film.

If you’re not following the subject of the photo, you won’t get the right kind of CGI in the end. This is how movies such as Disney’s “A Christmas Carol”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”, and many Avengers movies have been made that use CGI.
