Different people have different reactions on each dish they eat. To say that Mexican food can cause migraines is like saying that you should avoid eating it at all cost. However, for the sake of answering this question, there are several factors which can trigger migraines and these factors are present in all kinds of cuisines – whether Mexican, Asian, American and European, to name a few.

Here are some of the foods that can trigger migraines: Processed meats, beans such as pinto and string beans, sausage, yogurt, sour cream, cheese such as brick and cheddar, fermented vegetables, nuts, chocolate beverages, alcoholic beverages, and fruits such as papayas, raspberries and bananas. Also, try to avoid foods with monosodium glutamate (MSG) because it can also trigger migraines.
