Instead of using bug spray to kill bugs, herbs are healthier to use and can be used at all times if you plant them in your garden. Bugs will then stay away from your garden and house because they do not like the smell of the herbs you have planted. Mint is one herb that has a strong scent.
If you plant it near your house or dry the mint and place them in areas of your where bugs seem to come in, that will help. Lavender is another herb that certain bugs don’t like. Fleas and mosquitoes do not like the smell of lavender. Other strong-smelling herbs that are hated by bugs include bay leaves, rosemary and basil. Flies do not like basil.
