Croatia is an Eastern European country with a long shoreline along the Adriatic Sea. Croatia is just across a small strip of the Adriatic Sea from Italy. The prices to eat in Croatia are going to seem quite affordable for a person from the western culture. People often find it easier to eat in Croatia than in some more expensive European countries.

A fast food meal runs around 4 to 6 dollars, an inexpensive restaurant around 5 to 10 dollars, and a mid-range to nicer restaurant might be 20 to 40 dollars per person. Given the range of these prices it is very comparable to North American prices.
