On average, food and drink costs about half as much in Poland as it does in America. For example, a full meal at McDonald’s runs about $7 with tax in America. In Poland, that same meal costs around $2.50. That’s a little less than half the cost of a meal in America. A small bottle of water runs about $1 in America, but half that in Poland.

The same goes for soft drinks and sodas in general. Some irregularities come into this pattern when it comes to regular old groceries. For example, the price of a gallon of regular milk runs about the same in both countries: about $2, give or take $0.20 or so. Eggs are actually twice as expensive in Poland than they are in America.
