My favorite Spanish food is actually something that comes from Mexico but has been Americanized. I’ve not really tried any foods from Spain (which is, by definition, where Spanish foods come from), but I love tacos. The beef, the cheese, the tortillas. I love it. There’s nothing else I really like that comes from a Hispanic area or from somewhere that the Spanish took over and conquered.
My aunt has one of the best taco meat recipes. No more taco seasoning packets for me. Besides, that’s usually too spicy for me (yeah, I’m not into a lot of spice; makes it much too hot for me), but that’s just me. We use tomato sauce, chili powder, fennel, cumin, and coriander to make our meat.
