A chocolate fountain works in the same way as any other fountain. It needs a pond or container that holds or stores the chocolate after it drips or pour down. It also needs a statue or figure where the chocolate pours out from the top of it and then cascades down the sides into the container.

This figure may be a regular shape or a statue. In the top of the figure, there should be an opening or hole for the chocolate to come out of. In the bottom of the fountain there is a pump. The pump circulates the chocolate up through the figure or shape through tubes. The tube comes up to the top inside the figure. You usually don’t see the tube.
