Due to the large variety of chocolate chips, it depends on the brand of this product to determine if they are a gluten –free product or not. However, lots of brands that are on the grocery store shelves are considered to be gluten-free. The most popular chocolate chips are from Hershey’s and Nestle. Both of these brands of chocolate chips are gluten free.
However, not all chips are gluten-free even if they are made by these brands. Some chips that are different flavors may have gluten in them. The butterscotch chips from Nestle are not gluten-free. However, Hershey’s butterscotch chips are gluten-free. Plus, their special dark, cinnamon and semi-sweet are gluten- free as well. The brand, Enjoy Life, also makes a chocolate chip that is gluten –free.
