Prokaryotic cells are those that are found in animals. These cells have cell walls and membranes. They are unicellular. They also have a nucleus and mitochondria. There are two types called the Archea and Bacteria. Cellular respiration is when the cell converts energy to ATP. ATP is known as adenosine triphosphate.

Then the cell releases the waste that it doesn’t need. The type of cellular respiration in prokaryote cells is called prokaryotic respiration. The type of energy that is in the ATP is chemical energy. Catabolic reactions occur here. These reactions occur in order to break molecules down into tiny molecules. The corresponding reactions that are most likely to occur in prokaryotic respiration would be found on the plasma membrane.
