The quality policy of an organization is approved by upper management and outlines the organizations direction regarding quality. Cost of quality (coq) is a tool used in quality planning. Cost of quality refers to the total costs of ensuring conformance with quality standards. Quality control measurements are an input to perform quality assurance. Quality control measurements include the results captured in the perform quality control process that are then used in the perform quality assurance process.
