The whole point of advertising is to get you to buy a particular product. In today’s world, there should most definitely be regulations on advertising because we are more health conscious than ever.

After all, cigarette commercials are supposed to advertise that there is nicotine in the product nowadays; when cigarette commercials first started, that wasn’t even considered because nicotine is addictive and the companies wanted to keep that a secret.

Smoking became pretty popular because of that.

Advertising regulations have come into play because a lot of companies went too far. They were advertising to people that should not have been advertised to for certain products (for example, a lot of poorer neighborhoods will have cigarette billboards as close to schools as possible), and people stood up to them.
