Ethyl alcohol, including rum, gin, brandy, and whiskey, are the only alcohols that have no carbs. Although the purer forms of alcohol may have lower carbs, they do have a higher amount of calories.
The drink that is highest in carbohydrates are regular beer with the average level of 12 g per 500 milliliters, while some “lite” versions of beers have as little as 3 grams of carbs. While one drink may have lower numbers in one aspect of nutritional value, it will be high in another.
