Before we answer this question, the correct spelling should be “Bridget Jones’s Diary”. It was written by Helen Fielding and was published in 1996 by Picador. Helen Fielding was born on February 19, 1958 in Morley, West Yorkshire, and her works include some of the following: Cause Celeb which was published in 1994, Bridget Jone’s Diary in 1996, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason in 1999, and Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination published in 2003. Bridget Jones’s Diary covered the story of Bridget who wrote about her family, friends, love life, vices, and her career.

It was adapted into a film in 2002 which starred Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones, Colin Firth as Mark Darcy, Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver, and Jim Broadbent as Mr. Colin Jones, to name a few.
