They bring the chonch with them because it is the one thing that jack does not possess. This scene occurs in the famous novel Lord of the Flies. The story of this book occurs in the middle a war. It was published in the year 1954 and was the first novel written by Golding.

Even though this book did not witness an immediate success after its release, until 1955. Till then, only a couple thousand copies were sold. However, soon it went out to being a best seller. It has had two English movie adaptations due to its popularity among the general public.
