The Merchant of Death is a fantasy novel written by D.J. MacHale and published in 2002. It is the first book in the Pendragon series and follows the adventures of Bobby Pendragon as he travels to Denduron. At a point in the book Bobby comes across a merchant who is trying to sell him some items.
This merchant’s name is Figgis. Figgis steals some items from Bobby while he is sleeping. Bobby also figures out that Figgis has been selling Tak which is an unstable explosive. This explosive is to be used as a weapon for them to free themselves from Bedoowan rule.
