A common name for a device that is used to take pictures is camera. A camera can be considered as an instrument that optically takes the recording in the form of a video, or a picture. This data is either stored locally in the memory or transferred to another storage (in case of digital cameras). The data can be magnetically stored onto films, in case of film cameras.
Almost all cameras have the same basic design in which light enters a converging or a convex lens, and then illuminates the inner chamber. Cameras are considered as one of the most spectacular inventions ever.
