The person who wrote the novel entitled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is none other than Roald Dahl. He was born on September 13, 1916 in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom and his works include some of the following: The Gremlins which was published in 1943, Sometime Never: A Fable for Supermen which was published in 1948, The Magic Finger in 1966, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator in 1972, George’s Marvellous Medicine in 1981, The BFG in 1982, Matilda in 1988, and The Minpins in 1991.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was published in the United States on January 17, 1964 and on November 23, 1964 in the United Kingdom and covered the story of Charlie Bucket and his journey inside Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
