How many countries does North american region has?

North America contains more than three countries. They main countries are Canada, United States and Mexico. Other countries and nations are included in Central America and the Caribbean which are also included in North America. They are the Bahamas, Grenada, Haiti, Barbados, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Jamaica, Panama, Costa Rica and several other islands, nations and countries.

The countries located in South America are not considered to be included in the North American continent. Colombia is a country located in South America. Other countries in this continent include Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Peru, Chile and Bolivia, to name a few. The equator is located across the northern section of South America.
