Many countries experience a tropical climate which many people associate with the country being located either on the equator or in a southern area. However, many countries with warm climates are located above the equator line. These would include the Bahamas, Venezuela, Egypt and India. Mozambique is located completely south of the equator. It is actually located close to Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.

Mozambique is a country that is situated on the eastern coast of Africa. Mozambique also has a tropical climate even though it is located quite far away from the equator with heavy rainfall plus a dry season. Mozambique is located about 1800 miles or 2900 kilometers from the equator. There are about 24 million people who live in this country.
