CaiyStane is found in Buckstone Terrace or Oxgangs Road. It is a huge red sandstone block of rock that measures 2.75 meters or 9 feet in height and has a thickness of more or less 0.48 meters. The CaiyStane had been known by several names such as Cat Stane, Kel Stane, or Cetstane.

Several sources claimed that the CaiyStane was erected as early as 3000 B.C. or the Neolithic Period to symbolize a burial place and some even suggested that the monument symbolizes the battle between the battle of the Romans and the Picts, and it is even claimed that the monument symbolizes the army of Oliver Cromwell, a soldier who led the Parliamentarian army to overthrow King Charles I.
