Russia is the world’s biggest country in terms of landmass. Earth has a total land area of 148,940,000 square kilometers. From this number, Russia covers a land area of 16,377,742 square kilometers or 10.995% of Earth’s total landmass. This makes Russia the largest country in the world and Asia in terms of landmass. Coming second is Canada which covers a total land area of 9,093,507 square kilometers – it is also the largest country in the Western Hemisphere and is also the country with the largest surface area of water.

United States comes third with a total land area of 9,147,593 and is the second largest country in the Western Hemisphere. China comes next with a land area of 9,369,461 square kilometers and is the second largest country in Asia.
