Juneau is the capital city of Alaska. It is also a large city with about 31,000 people located in the city. Juneau is not located on the continuous road system like other larger cities are. In this case, roads do not connect Juneau to the remainder of Alaska. The only other capital city to do this is Honolulu, Hawaii. Due to this factor, people have trouble transporting good and people over the non-paved roads.

Also, people should be careful of the natural disaster like the earthquake in 2014. In Juneau, there are about 12,000 households. People usually move through a ferry system to get to where they need to go. They also travel by air. The Juneau International Airport helps people move around since they do not have roads that lead out of the city.

Juneau

The only transportation in or out of the capital city is via boat or airplane.
