A sea is a large body of salt water. The sea is either completely encompassed by land or on most sides. Seas usually lead to the ocean which contains salt water as well. Many boats travel through the seas to get to their destination.
Sometimes, traveling by sea is faster than traveling by land, however, most boats that travel from one location to another in the same country or continent do so as it would be faster. Most of these boats travel close to the shoreline. Sometimes, cities that are located close to the sea may experience a tsunami which is a large wave that crashes onto the shore. Most vacation sports and tourist areas are located on the sea shores.
