The majority of Russian men who were killed in World War II were around twenty years old. Between eight and nine million men around the age of 20 perished in WWII. If they had died at age twenty, that instigated a decrease of new children in the USSR. There were only 76. 6 men per 100 women in the territory that is now Russia.

Another reason for the decline is because much of the male population in Russia and Ukraine drink excessively and throw their health away. Therefore, they do not live as long. Also, the inhabitants in Russia and the former USSR as a whole are older than that of the world. Most of these nations have a low birth rate because of the lack of men there.

The correct answer to this question is World War II. It can also be referred to as WWII. This war was international. It affected many countries like England, Russian, and the United States. These countries fought the Axis powers of Germany, Italy, and Japan.

World War II lasted four years, and during that time, many sacrifices were made from the men and women who fought in it, as well as their families. Out of all the groups who fought in the war, statistics show that the Soviet Union had more military deaths than any other country that participated. It is estimated that they had under 12 million deaths.

World War II was an international war that affected many countries including Russia, United States and England against the Axis Powers Germany, Japan and Italy. Even though this war lasted four years, many sacrifices were made. Based on statistics, the Soviet Union had far more military deaths than any other country.

Slightly under 12 million fatalities for the military, the Soviet Union suffered greatly even though the Allied Powers won the war. In addition to that, the Soviet Union also suffered from civilian casualties. China’s civilians suffered too. Many of the other countries did not have nearly the amount of casualties than Russia and China. Due to the large loss of life in the 1940s, Russia has a lower number of senior citizens as a result of this.
