What can people do when they see an animal being abused?

Every year, there are tens of thousands cases of animal abuse. When witnessing animal abuse, many people will avoid confrontation and let it go on, but the best thing to do is to report it, especially to an animal hospital.

The most common form of animal abuse is neglect and abandonment, meaning the owner is either unable to care for the animals in their care or simply just leaves them behind after a move or will drop them off on the side of the road and never come back for them. Many animal abusers are psychotically linked to physical human abuse as well, with animal abuse being considered a common sign of mental instability.
