Dangerous situations can arise at any time, and can often be unexpected. Danger can also present itself in many forms, whether it be a physical threat, emotional threat, or a threat to your reputation. While it is impossible to avoid all dangerous situations in life, there are a few steps you can take to minimize your risk of facing one:
• Avoid questionable situations. Danger is most likely to arise under circumstances that you can avoid. This may include staying out too late with your friends, drinking too much alcohol, or traveling to a location that is known for illegal activities. If you find any part of the situation you are in to be questionable, leave it.
• Don’t participate in illegal activities. There are many reasons to stay on the right side of the law, but more than anything, it helps to keep you safe.
