1 hp = 746 watts which i the most basic information based on the technical data ive seen times three is 2,238 watts.

3 mechanical horsepower is equivalent to 2237.1 watts. A lot of people say that one horsepower is equivalent to 745.7 watts so you just have to do that math. Horsepower can be used in order to describe the power of certain items. For example, if you say horsepower and you will relate it to cars, this means speed.

If you would use horsepower and connect it to air conditioning units, this means the power of the units in order to improve the temperature of a room depending on its size. Horsepower will matter a lot but it should be remembered that more horsepower means using more watts as well.
