A convex lens is known to be a type of lens that is thicker near the middle as compared to the sides of the lens. The convex lens is the type of lens that is used when you are using cameras. The lens will make sure that it will be able to make the main subjects clear while the rest of the background will be blurry.

There may be differences in the way that the light will enter the lens. It will depend on how close the object to the light. Another example of an object that makes use of a convex lens is a magnifying glass. You will have a magnified image that will allow you to focus on some items that you may not immediately see.
