What is an application software?

The application software is a type of software that is responsible for performing different functions, tasks, and other activities that are meant to give some benefits to the user.

For example, Microsoft Office is application software. It houses various programs for the immediate use of users. There are some who would use Microsoft Word in order to type documents, and there are also some who would need to use Powerpoint so that they can start creating a presentation that can be shown to other people.

Take note that application software is different from system software. The system software is used to ensure that various gadgets will work according to how they are expected to be used.
