Rupert pennypacker recieved the blue ribbon for the best gooseberry pie but grandma was the one who baked it. she was afraid that her pie would lose against ms.pennypacker so she switched the nametags on the pies. grandma has a right to be afraid but she interfered with the contest. she should have either faced her fears or not entered the contest until she was more confident. it ends up her pie won and ms.pennypacker got the credit. all in all, i think grandma dowdel could have handled the situation in a better and more positive way. this had a big affect on the whole contest.
