Health science and life science are most times confused to be the same, probably because both are two branches of science. Another reason is that both deal with the study of living organisms. While it is true that health science and life science are similar in some ways, there are still some differences between the two.

Life science refers to a branch of science that deals with the study of all living creatures. Life science focuses on anything that pertains to all living organisms. It studies the life processes of every living organism and how they survive. Aside from this, life science also has so many branches that help study the relationship between different organisms.

Health science is a branch of life science that studies, understands, and researches the functions of human beings and other animals. Life science strives to answers so many questions about anything that pertains to all living things. On the contrary, health science seeks to ensure the treatment and preservation of human beings and other animals.

The thermometer is the correct answer to this question. Probably more than ever, people are more familiar with thermometers due to COVID-19. Many jobs and businesses are requiring temperature checks to be taken before entering the building.

This is because one of the main symptoms of the virus is a high fever. If you have over 100-degree fever, many businesses may turn away or decline service. Temperatures can be taken under the tongue or under an armpit. There are also no-touch thermometers which can use an infrared sensor to get the temperature, which out the device touching the patient.

The thermometer is a device that is used to measure temperature or a temperature gradient. A thermometer has two essential elements. It contains a temperature sensor in which some changes occur with a shift in temperature and convert this change into a numerical value.

Thermometers are utilized in technology and industry to track meteorology processes and the weather, medicine, and scientific research. Many kids from the past generation would hold their thermometers under a light bulb to give it a false reading so they could get out of going to school.

This scenario is the hallmark of the classic thermometer. Old school thermometers did not hold the temperature reading upon being removed from where it was and to a place with a different temperature. Modern thermometers were created to hold the temperature indefinitely to be removed and read anytime and place, which is also more convenient.

The item that you will use when you want to measure temperature is the thermometer. Take note that there are different types of thermometers depending on what you are trying to measure.

Right now, people think that having a thermometer at home is essential because of the ongoing pandemic. They want to make sure that their temperature is normal so that they can monitor their current health.

A thermometer can also be used to take the temperature of food. There are certain food items that can cook better if they are exposed to a certain type of temperature. There are different units of measurement that are available.

A thermometer measures a person/s body temperature. This might be under the tongue or under the arm in the armpit/ Don't get thermometer mixed up with a tempometer. Best write it as tempo meter, two words, and in fact this is correct. A tempo meter checks the speed, or tempo, of a piece of music. Tempo just means time.

Hydrometers measure the relative density of liquids - something much more advanced in your study of science. A gyrometer indicates continuously the number of revolutions of a rotating axis. Advanced, yes, but a gyroscope is great fun to play with and fascinating to watch. it will help you understand this aspect of physics.
