It is a cold air plenum for cooling of customer equipment-the correct answer is a. the raised floor concept is a way to distribute cold air from the air conditioning system across the entire data center floor. perforated tiles strategically located on the raised floor are positioned so that cold air is blown from under the floor toward the air intake of the computer equipment. its true that cables are sometimes placed under the raised floor too, but this is not the purpose of the raised floor and when this is done it must be done carefully so as to not impede air flow beneath the floor.
