One is used for yin deficiency heat, while the other is used for yang deficiency cold.-the first choice is best. ying spring points are used to treat yin deficiency heat. shu stream points, because they are coincident with yuan source points, are good places to input yang energy into a channel (and thus are good for yang deficiency cold).the second choice is only true for yin channels, not for yang channels (that is, only yin shu stream points are yuan source points).the third choice is false, because neither ying springs nor shu streams are usually bled.the last choice is false because of its claim to exclusivity. while ying springs do treat fevers, they do not always treat fevers; also, shu stream points can treat fevers sometimes.
