An abstract noun can be explained as something that is not tangible, something that you cannot experience with your five major senses. You can only have a feeling of it. Abstract nouns include things such as like, feelings, concepts, actions, ideas, and qualities. Abstract nouns can be used in describing the qualities or characteristics of a person.

There are a lot of examples under this, such as beauty, brilliance, calmness, coolness, confidence, courage, dedication, bravery, brutality, charity, compassion, contentment, curiosity, determination, honesty, intelligence, hope, integrity, and many more. Abstract nouns can also be used to show feelings or emotions.

Examples include adoration, anger, clarity, disappointment, happiness, friendship, excitement, anger, anxiety, love, romance, pleasure, love, joy power, authority, and so on. A noun is always either a concrete noun or an abstract noun, or a tangible or intangible noun. So, when it is not tangible, it is definitely abstract.
