Configuring a Static IP address

The Typical network settings in a Microsoft Windows XP Professional installation install the client for Microsoft Networks; File Sharing and Printer Sharing for MIcrosoft networks; TCP/IP and DHCP. The ability to configure a static IP address is included in the Custom network settings.
